Felicia & Magnus invited me to capture their wedding in Aberdeen this past summer and it was an absolutely wonderful day! Felicia is a fellow photographer and had followed me on instagram for a while, so when she said that her and her fiancé were flying from their home in Sweden to get married at Ardoe House in Aberdeen, I was thrilled to be asked to be part of their day!

The morning

Felicia & Magnus decided to do a first look before the ceremony, it was so so emotional and I couldn’t stop smiling, the connection between them was super warming and uplifting. Myself and Jack (my partner) captured the day and it felt ultra special to be involved in such a wonderful moment between them both. Thank you Felicia & Magnus for allowing us to capture this.

The ceremony

The ceremony was a Swedish and Scottish mixed affair, they asked some of their loved ones to read and although I couldn’t understand it (with it being in Swedish) I was able to feel it, especially by looking at Felicia & Magnus’s faces, and seeing how much it meant to them.

The photos

With Felicia being a fellow photographer, she stressed to me before how important the photos would be to them. So we decided to venture around the grounds at Ardoe House, taking opportunities where we could to get their bridesmaids and groomsmen involved too.

The speeches

The speeches were amazing! Myself and Jack were unable to understand the speeches with them being in Swedish, but we were able to see the laughs, the smiles, the tears and we could FEEL all the emotions filling the room. It was incredible! They had their friends up dancing, singing, and reading in-between each course, and the connection between their family, friends and them was so wonderful to see.
